Vertigo and dizziness is a common encountered clinical illness. The dizziness can be very uncomfortable, and may sometimes lead to nausea or vomiting. There are various causes of dizziness. Some are minor problems, some are serious and even life-threatening such as brainstorm stroke. If you have a prolonged episode of dizziness, or recurring episodes of dizziness and are not sure what is causing them, then it is best to see a doctor.
Dr. Zhu Zhensui, our senior physician said that TCM believes that vertigo is caused by the imbalance of the liver and spleen. It is this imbalance between theses internal organs resulting in phlegm production and deficiency that leads to poor blood support to the brain that naturally results in dizziness.
Herbal medication and acupuncture can help to restore the balance of yin and yang, regulate the liver and spleen, activate blood and qi circulation and eliminate blood stasis.
